Pet friendly, off-the-grid camping in the heart of nature.

Greyton Twin Rivers Campsite is a pet friendly campsite, situated within 3km from the quaint town of Greyton and 140km, under 2 hours drive from Cape Town.

At the campsite, you will find the perfect place to rekindle your sprit in nature and nurture your weary soul alongside 2 incredibly different rivers, the “never-ending” Riviersonderend and the Gobos, with the majestic Riviersonderend Mountain range in the background.

The campsite has plenty of large trees which create soothing shade or secluded nooks for our campers. Some sites are situated alongside the rivers edge and others a short stroll from the rivers.  Our campground is mostly lawn with a few sand sites and one site that is accessible by 4 x 4 only. Each site has its own circle of river rocks fire pit perfect for a classic campfire and tap point close by.

We are an off-the-grid campsite which means there is no electricity points within the entire campsite.  Reception can assist with charging or blowing up of air mattresses if required.

The bathrooms have been recently renovated with new tiles in the showers and completely repainted.  Lighting is energised by the sun and a donkey rocket water heats the water in the main ablutions.  We have a total of 14 Toilets, 6 showers and 3 scullery areas.

We strive to keep our footprints low and encourage our campers to do the same. We also feel that campers are here to relax and enjoy their time in nature and with this in mind we don’t like to “chase” our campers out at a certain time on the day of departure.   We love seeing families enjoying a Sunday fun day and leaving the campsite more refreshed than when they arrived. If your campsite has a booking on your day of your departure, we will inform you and you’d still be allowed to pack up by noon and park your vehicle off the site you were on and enjoy the rivers some more.

Birdwatching, mountain biking, hiking, swimming, canoeing, fishing, free roaming horses & cows, the resident otter, steenboks, star gazing, family games, reading and relaxation are just some of the awesome things you can do or see here at the campsite.

A little shop at Reception has some basics:  sweets, chocolates, cooldrinks as well as wood and ice.
