WHERE YOU’LL FIND US

We’re tucked away just 3km from the charming village of Greyton in the Overberg, Western Cape — close enough to pop in for a coffee, far enough to feel like you’ve properly escaped. From Cape Town, it’s roughly 140km and under two hours on the road.

 

THE RIVERS & THE SETTING

The campsite sits at the meeting point of two beautifully contrasting rivers. The Gobos is calm and shallow — wonderful for toddlers and lazy afternoon paddling as the water drifts quietly past. The Riviersonderend has a deep, cool swimming section that campers return to year after year. Behind it all, the Riviersonderend Mountain range makes for a backdrop that never gets old.

Some of our sites sit right on the riverbank; others are nestled beneath a canopy of large trees that offer generous shade and a sense of seclusion. Whether you want front-row access to the water or a quiet shady nook, there’s a spot for you.

 

SITES & FACILITIES

Most of our sites are on lawn, with a few sandy options and six 4×4-accessible sites for those who like getting a little more off the beaten track. Every site comes with its own river rock fire pit and a water tap close by — the essentials, done properly.

We’re fully off-grid, so there are no electrical connection points on the campsite. If you need to charge a device or inflate an air mattress, reception is happy to help.

Our ablution blocks have recently been fully refreshed — tiled showers, a fresh coat of paint, solar-powered lighting, and a wood fired donkey boiler keeping the hot water flowing. We also have three scullery areas spread across the campsite.

Reception has a small shop stocked with the basics: sweets, chocolates, cold drinks, firewood, and ice.

 

OUR APPROACH

We care about this place and try to keep our footprint light — we ask our guests to do the same, and most naturally do once they’re here and feel how special it is.

We also believe you’re here to truly unwind, so we’re not ones to watch the clock on your departure day. We love seeing families make a full day of it — packing up in their own time and leaving more refreshed than when they arrived. If a new booking is coming in on your site, we’ll always give you a heads-up. You’re welcome to vacate the site by noon and continue enjoying the rivers for as long as you like.
